i've just installed my new system and it sounds great but damn...when i switch to the radio, its staticky...i look to the back and the antenna isn't up! it suppose to go up automatically wen i switch to radio but it doesn't do that now! =( is there a wire that im missin out on? or is it stuck? damn...lucky i have a mp3 player

 

did you hook up the power antenna wire to your new head unit?

 

There's another wire you have to put on the aftermarket HU. Just go to a car audio place and tell them the situation, they should know what to give you. My antenna is now up whenever the HU is on (whether on radio or CD), don't know why but just so you know this might happen.
