WOW, BG is GREAT!!!

I just used the BG fuel injection system cleaner (part #210) and the results are great!!!... After a 15 min drive I notice the car was quiter, smoother and more resposive. I think even the tranny shifted a tiny bit smoother. But the main thing is the slight vibration and idle dropping I had when I would come to a stop seems to be gone (well it didnt vibrate on the 15 min drive).

I used the brake booster hose and slowly allowed the brake booster hose to suck up the cleaner.

I had also used bg 44k about a month ago also and did notice some results also.

It's all in your head. You HAVE to use that stuff a few times after each fill-up before it starts working. Why do you think they all say to add a bottle to each fill up?

actually there isnt any directions on the can. it says "professional use only" and its not meant to be used at every fill up. Also i just came back from dinner wit my girlfriend and even she noticed a difference.

As far as the tranny, i was mistaken...it prob just shifted better because i pushed it little.

Interesting way to have the BG fuel injector cleaner applied. In a shop that uses BG, they disconnect the fuel filter line and hook up a canister with a pressure regulator. Remove the fuse for the fuel pump and run the car off of the canister, which is filled with the fuel injector cleaner, until the its gone. About 10 minutes or so.

The 44k is then added to the tank. With the first procedure you will definitly notice an increase in power and better idling. Combined with a throttle body cleaning, you're sure to be as efficient as possible.

I did this on my old '98 Altima and the BG Induction service is well worth it, drove like a new car.

Can't wait to try it on my max when I also get it tuned up and the throttle body cleaned

how much did the service cost? I'm very interested in doing this soon cause i have 140k on my 98se. I heard a thick black plume of smoke comes out the tailpipe. can this screw up the oxygen sensors? I was thinking of changing them out too anyways cause my gas mileage is poor 19mpg in the city.

also, has anyone taken a look at the inside of their intake/plenum after the process? Wondering if it takes out most of the deposits or will it be more effective if I srub manually after the BG.

BTW, 140k miles, i drive my car hard (both extreme summer and winter driving), original tranny(shifts quick, D->R shift is smooth and quick), Amsoil synthetic ATF, Amsoil synthetic motor oil (filter change at 4k, oil change at 8k), AT pan drop every 30~40k. The only thing worrying me now is the mileage. I think its the combination of a clogging intake manifold/plenum, close to dying O2 sensors, driving habits . I already checked the obvious: i use the right weight oil, tire PSI, alignment, windows up(even though in city its useless), no A/C, fuel filter, air filter.

It can't be EGR system could it? that just affects emissions right?

There is nothing wrong with 19 mpg in the city. Converting Canadian gallons to US, I only get about 18.5 and its been that way from day 1. On the highway I can get 27 - 30 depending on how many people (and luggage) I'm carrying and how fast I'm going and if there is climbing involved.

As well different people have different definitions of city driving. Mine includes absolutely no highway, all at 40 mph or less.

i guess your right. my car's getting old. but its just wierd cause i used to get 22~23 city and 28+ on highways. on average with mixed driving i'd get around 24~25 mpg. that was when i was at 100k. now at 140k its gone downhill big time. just wondering what exactly is causing this. BTW, i know how to calc my gas mileage properly.
