How to take off sideview mirror cover?...

I can't figure out how to take off the painted cover (not the inside cover, not the whole assembly) from my sideview mirror. I know it's possible, I just don't want to mess up the paint and can't figure it out! Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
-Cyrus

You have to pop the glass out, no tools, just pops out.

Then you can remove the cover.
