Honestly if I were you, I would spend my money on OEM NGK Platinum plugs. Iridiums have not been shown or proven to be any better. And of course, nothing is better than OEM. VQ's have been known to run bad (bad gas mileage, hesitation, etc. )on any plugs other than NGK Platinums or Coppers. However, if you wish to save money and still run good, get coppers, thats what I have.

Thanks.. thats good to know.. I am having some hesitation in 5th gear. I thought that this might be because I need a new oxgen sensor and knock sensor both of which i am changing this week but I guess i will add ngk coppers or plats to the list

I have Iridiums - wouldn't get them again simply because they cost too much. Good plugs, but probably no difference from plats or maybe even coppers...though not having tried coppers I do not know.

I have irridium because the car was set up for N20. I plan to replace them with NGK coppers or platinums soon.

Whatever version you go with, get NGKs.
