Don't know either, but personally, I am going with Budget when the time comes due to what I've read. I am having the same problem pulling up Budget's website. With my luck they've gone out of business or something.

they are both really good.
Budget is a better deal if you don't get the Warpspeed in a group deal. If you get the wsp in a group deal, it is usually a little better deal.
I have the WSP one and I love it. It sounds, feels great!

Got my new Budget Y-pipe installed last Thursday. So much for the improved fuel economy theory, given my foot is now permanently stapled to the floor, lol!

I don't have a CAI or Popcharger, just a recently acquired K&N panel air filter and I certainly notice the difference in acceleration with the two. No additional noise at idle or cruising, which is what I wanted and at WOT I kinda like the sound.

What kind of sound is it at WOT? How loud is it? And it is nice and quite on the highway?

It shouldn't be that loud if the rest of your exhaust is stock. I'm planning on getting the Budget since it's SS and it doesn't hit the cross-member like some of the WSP pipes.

I have a budget y pipe, and I really like it. You can definitely tell the difference when you put it on, and I have automatic. Don't know much about the Warpspeed, but I tell you I really dislike the fact they talk **** about the budget pipe on their website, it made me go with budget. Glad I did.

I got my Warpspeed installed today...whoo it sounds f*cking good! Car sounds deep and rumbly at startup and idle. WHen driving around town its the same. However when you get past like 5 grand it gets kinda higher pitched.

I can definetly feel the car pulling harder than before above 4.5 grand. Great quality too, mechanic that did the install said fitment was perfect and he had no trouble at all. Id recommend my warpspeed.

i have a warpspeed and it seems to be very good, coupled with the frankencar intake it made the car considerably louder and more of a throaty sound. I do have to complain about warpspeed though, cuz i am dealing with them over a faulty catalytic converter and quite frankly their service sux

Weird rattling noise?

I just bought and installed a WS y-pipe for my 97 max. It took me all day to get my stock y-pipe off. But I finally got it off and put the new one on in no time at all. I was worried that it would be a lot louder but with my stock exhaust and cat, it is hardly any louder than it was before.

However, I have a question for those with WS y-pipes. When I punch the gas from a stand still, for the first one or two seconds, I hear and even feel a rattling noise coming from my auto shifter or at least underneath it. But it goes away pretty quickly, even before it has time to shift to second. When I accelerate conservatively, there is no rattling at all. Even when i punch it in idle, it sounds perfect.... no rattling. I thought that I had to tighten the bolts, which I did, but the sound is still there. I made sure to put on the new gaskets and also made sure that the piping was not touching the frame of the car. Could it be that something in my transmission is rattling due to the slightly raise vibrations from the new y-pipe?

Anyone else had this problem?

im going to go with a budget y pipe because of people saying the WS caused rattling, and that sometimes the flex section didnt fit in like it was supposed to. I can spare the extra $30 for the SS and "better quality" of the budget y pipe. i cant wait til i get back from florida so i can put it on

I just read that this guy fixed his rattling problem (it said that it was grainy under the gas pedal, so i'm not sure if it is the same problem) by wrapping a 4" hose clamp to the y-pipe and hanging it from the transmission fixture (whatever that is). Is this a viable solution? Are there any other methods?

I have the WS pipe ... fit perfect, none of the 'rattles' or fitment issues at all. Definately worth it, I love it.

yeah, my WSP does not rattle. It went on great, and I love the way it performs.

The reason, Kosmo, that Ludacris' sounds deep and growly is because of the rest of his exhause, namely his muffler. If you leave stock parts on the rest, it will not sound like that.

Budget is a good brand too. I hear tons of praise stories about them. Either one is a good bet.

A good price for a Warpspeed one is $160 shipped like they do through the group deal sometimes. That is where I got mine.

However, if there is not a group deal, the WSP is a little more than the Budget one. The Budget one is like $180 plus shipping from Canada and that is cheap. That is their everyday price.

i have the warpspeed and it rattles liek a *****. i got teh ss mandrel bent one( not from the group deal). you can purchase a $13 braket t fix the sounds in which i have not done yet. warpspeeds are suppose to yeild the biggest power increases out ofd the y-pipes.

None of that has been proven.
I mean, cattman says his are best.
Budget says theirs are best.
Warpspeed say theirs is best.

I have the warpspeed and through rain and snow it hasnt rusted never cleaned it and it still looks the like it did the day i put it on...i had no problem with rattling...if you look at all the people who post problems with fitment problems its mostly people with 99's ive only read like 2 post with people with 95-98's said it doesnt fit right without messing with the sub frame....its a good product overall though

i'd have to go with warpspeed, sence i saw both of them up close and personal and the budget pipes and **** compared to warpspeed, the weld were nasty on the budget and the pipe had whole bunch of residue inside of them that would add mode restriction, that y i just ordered another y pipe for my friend and im in the proces of getting 4 my y pipes and a couple of b pipes.
