That's a conversion most on here would stay away from.

If you want better ****ing, there a Valve Body mod(VB) that from what I here does wonders. I have heard claims it's even better than a 5 speed. But then again I don't know much about it, cause I have a 5 speed. (ha, ha,haha,ha)

Price it out. You will faint when you find out how expensive this is. Don't imagine this is just a trans-for-trans swap. You will need a flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch, throwout bearing, clutch pedal, clutch hydraulics, shifter, etc. etc. You may even need a different Engine Control Module (the computer).

If you are absolutely in love with the idea of converting to 5-speed, look for a wrecked car (an organ donor) that you can buy for low money. That way you get everything you need in one package.

Hah jih ma, it's not worth converting it. Just trade it in for a 5speed and you'll end up saving some dohn.

Damn. I just noticed that typo. I'm sorry.

I'd change it, but it just sounds so funny. And ya know, a new valve does help!!!!!!

I'm getting the VB Mod done this weekend>>

I just ordered the VB Mod from Don so I should be putting it in this weekend. VB Mod recallibrates the line pressure so there is less slippage in the tranny and it shifts faster. I'll keep you guys updated on the Mod. My main reason for the mod is to make my tranny last longer. Its been thru 100,000 miles of abuse^^.
YoungJun>>ChakhanNamja is some other dude, that's not me. I've been really busy with school and stuff. So what you've been upto?

Where there's a will, there's a way.

While I would never attempt a tranny swap like this. It wouldn't ever be cost effective. One of the easier ways, money not an issue. Would be to locate another, on a dealers lot and trade yours in. Now if you find one with the same equipment, the same year, the same condition, with about the same miles. You would probably spend about $2000-2500. Still cheaper than the actual tranny swap. However, with my experience selling cars, I actually did a similiar trade without it costing my much at all. I had a Mustang 5.0 5sp convertible, that I wanted to trade for a another just like it, only a hardtop. I first found one at a dealer, that would've been acceptable however we couldn't get with in $2500 of one another. So I then continued my search. I found one from an individual, it was a year newer than my conv. and had 8k less miles, and the money was right. So I bought it. I then listed my convertible for sale in 3 local newspapers (spent $60.) I fielded about 10 calls, showed the car about 8 times over about two weeks. Had an acceptable offer on the car, and took it. Then the next day one of the others that looked at it a few days earlier called me back and made an even higher offer. And my luck couldn't have been better, when guy #1 called me back and said he was having trouble getting financed. So I sold it to guy #2 who had his financing pre-arranged. So after all was said and done the cars washed themselves out. And I spent $60. on ads and then all that was left was $25 tag and registration transfer and a slight difference in sales tax. But on the flip side my insurance dropped more than all of it put together over the 1st 6mo policy. So the moral of all this, is it can be done pretty cheap.
