Was the grease on the packing list? In either case, you should grease it, it couldn't hurt. Just use regular old general purpose grease from your auto parts store.

There is no grease for the B&M...since it replaces the whole pivot point.

The instructions on VBMaxima are for the style shifter that doesn't replace the pivot point.

Didn't your B&M come with instructions?

I have the pacesetter and it came with the grease. It replaces the pivot point too. Like he said, just get some grneral purpose grease at an auto store or hardware store and lube it up!

I wasn't talking about the actual pivot 'ball'...B&M replaces the whole thing. See pics:

Notice the difference in pivot points?

This is a little off topic, but, I already shift too fast for the rpms to slow down enough to not jerk.

I always shift like 900 rpms above where it would be nice and smooth.

Do you guys have any similar problems with your short shifter?

Maybe when I get a flywheel this will change.
