I love it! Sounds AWESOME! Deep, but not too loud (so far), no rasp whatsoever. If I ever learn how to put video on this, I will do so but so far I don't (new to digital cameras, sorry).
What do you guys think?

I think it looks pretty good. It’s different, and it gets away from the huge-*** tips some guys like to put on. What kind of muffler is it?

Sound clips would be great as well…

That's the Magnaflow. I thought to go with it too but decided in favor of 5th Gen. Tips were too big as for me..

I don't care for it, but I also don't really care for the altezza's.
Your max doesn't look bad though. It is just not stuff I would do to mine.
I think it is the squareness of the muffler that I don't favor. I don't know.

There he is... the married man! Or are you? Last I heard you were considering wearing some running shoes down the isle, lol.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Good and bad, I don't care. I was always a fan of this kind of tips. I like oval ones and square with rolled edges. It reminds me of Remus.
It is not a Magnaflow, nor any other big name. I got a nice hook up on it so I got it. I was worried it is gonna sound like a Honduh fartcan, but it surpassed my highest expectations as far as sound. If I only knew how to save a movie file from my camera to the computer I'd let you hear it, but so far I can view it with Windows Media Player, but no option to save it anywhere. ...I am trying.

Thank you, Luda! I was trying hard not to say something like that.
I did ask for other's opinions, so: good, bad, whatever- bring it on! But come on... Compared to those boy racer fart cans that other drivers point at and laugh, these square boys look sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

I agree with the general consensus about the altezas though.
So next mod is a shiny coat of black paint on them.

I kinda like the way it looks. Did you cut the bumper? or does it fit in the stock cutout?

Yeah, I had to cut it. But it was very easy with a Dremel. Just made a template of the pipes, added 1" all around, rounded off the edges to match the pipes and cut.

You said pics of exhaust? Do you have a full exhaust done or just the muffler? If it's just the muffler I'm surprised the sound change that much at all. Then again looking at the last pic on the first page of your cardomain site I can see why it's louder. The muffler is so damn small. I remember when I got the APEX the car hardly got louder. Too bad the exhaust doesn't take the attention off the wheels, OUCH.

The muffler looks nice. I'm a fan of the square tip look too but only in DTM style where the tip's kick back up. The tail lights however really decrease the classiness of your car. Before you plan of doing any other mod's to your ride take the time to get the tail lights on the passenger side to line up alittle better. You might even consider removing the lenses from those tail lights and paint the silver boarder black. Your car would go from Rice to right!!!

The style is good but the muffler looks too small IMO. I like what you did with the bumper cutout though. The Altezzas would blend in much better if you put black vinyl or tint spray on the silver border.

Let the muffler turn a darker shade because it sticks out like a sore thumb right now.

The rear of your car is too busy. Lose the nissan hamburger, put the stock tails back on (maybe do red/clear).

I have nothing better to do, gonna fire up photoshop and show you what i mean.....

I think they're okay, but before modding I probably would have atleast got some stock maxima rims or something..... and yeah I think your stock tail lights look 100 times better.

We dont drive tauruses...everything on the Maxima is a rounded off squarish/rectangular shape just like his tips..

edit: ive come to the conclusion that how the altezzas have dual lights on each side plus the dual tips makes his rear end kinda busy looking.

Duals are fat, but i'm not feeling the squares. The square tips, and the oval canister contradict eachother.

Damn Scarface, that does look HOT!
But the reason I bought new tails in the first place is because when I bought the car the right rear must've received a small bump, cause the taillight lens was slightly cracked, there is a scuff on the bumper and the inner and outer right taillights don't line up (trunk lid is up 1/4").

Scarface, since you have mad skills with Photochop, could you do an image of something I was considering: Painted black altezzas, but instead of circles left for the lights (ala skyline), make them in the shape of the exhaust tips - rounded off squares (kinda like in corvettes). Then they will match the exhaust perfectly.

And relax, all. Chrome rims are gone. The only reason I bought them is because I knew I can sport them for some time, sell, and make some $ on them. And I did. I bought them for $1K and sold over a 1/2 a year later for $1.4K.

With the normal tails I think the exhaust is ok. It neither makes or breaks the car. My gut feel is people didn't like the look, but it wasn't the muffler itself, it was a combo of the tails and the weird look without the Maxima badge, my .02
