I need to know the difference between these transmission numbers. I am looking for another tranny for my 95 SE 5 speed. I want to know which one of these will work. Also I want the LSD again. Here is some info I found.
1995 Max
Rs5F50A-5 speed
Rs5F50V-5 speed
1996 I30
Rs5F50A/V-5 speed
I got these numbers off of (www.oem-car-parts.com).

 

The model number for a 5Gen 5-speed with Limited Slip Differential is RS5F50V.

Rs5F50A-5 speed (No LSD)
Rs5F50V-5 speed (This is what you want)
1996 I30 (This is a car, not a transmission)
Rs5F50A/V-5 speed (Garbled designation, can't be both A and V)

 

Does the 96 I30 5 speed tranny come with the LSD? If so, shouldn't it work in the max.

 

Don't know. I'd rather trust the metal tag on the transaxle housing instead of somebody's claim that "it came out of an I30."

It has to be the Infinity I30t (t=touring ), the I30 doens't have it...Or, you would have to ID with tags if it was an option on a Maxima SE or I30....
