Will the OEM air box work /HAI TB 2 MAFpipe

I went to the dragstrip this weekend and ran my 96 I30 automatic. I ran with the stock filter and also without the filter and top half of air box. I only gained a .1th of a second. I drove it home without the filter/air box and noticed that the sound of the air rushing into the motor of a automatic trans car does not sound nearly as good as it does with a stick shift car. That combined the only a gain of a tenth, made me decide to keep the stock air box but replace the filter with a K&N. Here is my question..... Does and body know if the stock air box will work with a aftermarket pipe coming from the MAS to the TB?

PS I also need the part # of the tiny bulbs that go into the cilmate contols/ash tray/cig lighter. Some of mine are blown.
