Benefits of REAR strut brace?

Ive been reading about the benefits of a rigid chassis for handling. Undercarriage Bracing being a great mod- at least thats the word!

If that is the case, maybe its worth the $140 bucks and easy install for a good quality (Read: Stillen) strut bar for the rear? Anyone actually race/autocross/really push their car's handling and want to vouch for the effectiveness of this mod?

I know most people say that it doesnt do much, and they are probably right- but after shocks(koni), springs(eibach), front strut brace(stillen), rear sway bar(stillen).... It might be more effective; as it now addresses a more weak area.

I figure the rest of the car has been made a bit more solid so the rear brace might now be the most accessible weak link in the suspension.

Thoughts? Comments? And anyone who knows about undercarriage bracing, whats the cost/install cost? Tnx-

If your looking at stiffening things up, I've heard good things about the blehmco lower tie bar (stage 2 especially). http://www.mattblehm.com/suspension.html. I think there is a group deal that brings the price down like $50, unless it's over in which case you'd have to get another 10 people together for a new one.

i have heard, i cannot say from experiance that they do nto do much for you ,epecally if you have aftermekert suspension. but by the looks of your sig pic it might prove to be benifical to you cause the way you push the car.

BTW: you sig is awsome!

Warpspeed has subframe connectors. Ask Dave B, he was raving about them when he did his install.

Nobody I've talked to really verified it's effectiveness either. Especially when combined with good springs & struts. Everything I've learned leads me to think loose front and tight rear at all costs though so I keep mine on. I've got some practice runs set for a couple weeks from now. I'll disconnect mine and post back.
