Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulators

i was wondering if anyone has employed this technique to maxe a couple extra ponies on there max. i have a 99 SE-L with a 5 speed and unable to get a ecu with a nice new air fuel maps. so i was thinking i could just buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and try to do some tuning that way. i know this is a method employed by the honda guys maybe i can give it a shot. since i have popcharger intake, y pipe and a catback on the way. is anyone no running this in their setup or would i be wasting my time. i was looking into a nismo, or a sard. what do you guys think?
