Installed Tok Blues & KYB mounts 5k ago - Now lots of noise over bumps!

I had my Tokico Blues, new Nissan OEM boots and a set of KYB strut mounts installed about 5000 miles ago. All good until a week ago or so, when I started to hear and feel rumbling noises from the driver's side front wheel when going over rough pavement. I went over a fairly wide speed bump at about 5mphtoday, and at the top of the bump (when the car was just starting to come back down) I heard (and felt!) a very loud clunk from the driver's side front wheel. It happened again on the next speed bump.

Does this sound like a strut problem or a mount problem to you? Or perhaps something else entirely, some other part of the suspension or driveshaft? I heard (too late of course) that the KYB mounts aren't so great.

Make sure the center nut is still tight, if it comes loose it can cause noises. Otherwise it could be the KYB strut mounts making noise (but that's generally only when turning)

Stock springs or not? If you're lowered at all it's probably the struts blowing...the blues are not so good when it comes to lowering springs.

Well, I loosened the center bolt and re-torqued it to just over 50 ft/lbs. No change in the noise. It really feels like somehting is loose and is just clunking around in the driver's side suspension. Something heavy.

Oh, and it's stock springs. Tok blues on stock springs with OEM boots. Starting to think the KYB mounts deserve their bad reputation.

I had similiar problem and it was cause I didnt fully tighten lugs on one rim while rushing changing my brakes. Felt like such an idiot, but at same time was happy it wasn't something that was gunna cost me money.
