Alternator replaced, Battery Charged, Now What?

I've replacing the alternator because the symptoms were pointing to a faulty alternator. I Had the battery charged, but my car will still not hold the charge. It dies right away after boosting the car.
What should I check now?

If you have a close to dead battery, it won't do it any good by recharging it. May be it's time to replace your battery too. How long ago did you change your battery?

One quick way to confirm whether it's a battery problem is to park another car next to yours, disconnect the battery (hopefully a good one) from that car, and jump it over to your terminal cables. Start your car and see if it dies immediately.
