Is this normal???

I have a 99 Maxima SE-Limited. Everytime I start up my car the oil light says on for about a second or two then it turns off. Is that normal? Could it be that my oil level is low? Thanks in advance

Its not oil level, its oil PRESSURE, and it may blink once or twice when you first start up because pressure may be slightly low at startup. Nothing to worry about.

Mine does the same thing, no problems here! If the light would continue to stay on after start-up, then you'd have something to worry about!

everything is fine, the oil light comes on as a test during startup and should normally go away in a second or so

Also I'd worry about the following w/ the oil light -

1) staying on after startup
2) not coming on at all, even at startup (bad bulb)
