Really tight fit...

It didn't fit too well on mine. I actually had to really play with the bar to make it fit (had to bend it a little). I guess not all bars are equal

I've got a StreetBeat/Vibrant. Fits great after I turned the bar over. I think that there is an "up" and "down" side as it is bent at both ends. Great fit, easy install. Mucho difference. Price was mighty nice too, $47 to the door

you can rotate the bar if it bothers you. it doesn't matter if the arc is going up, down, or to the side...

I have street beats.

I see some scratches on the chrome bar but not on the underside of hood. Go figure.

Just little marks. Nothing to be concern.

Works great on my '97 SE, however, it did rub some on one of the metal air conditioning lines. I pushed the line away from the FSTB and haven't had any other problems.

scary?

I'm thinking about getting one of those Courtesy FSTB, but noticed on their website that some Max may need modification. I called them and they said that for my 98 SE I would need to deform the bar slightly for it to fit!! I think that's poor design and not sure if I should still buy it. I have a hard time imagining myself deforming such a stiff bar. Anyone had to do this????
Thanks for your replies

Don't worry about any movement of the bar...you will definetly feel the improvement in driving response and there won't be a doubt in your mind that you made a wise purchase. The bar may be pushed down a bit or rotated out of the way of the wiring and hood liner without damage.
