Question about the corner/clearance lights...

Sorry to sound like a newbie but my side clearance light assembly is dangling right now. Just got my hyperwhites to put in the cleanrance lights, and the manual says to pry it off with a screwdriver, tried that, nearly cracked the thing, and its stick and won't come out at all. Now it won't go back behind that latch the lock onto.

Is there an easier way to pull it out? Or can I just replace the bulb from the back of the plug?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Just keep pulling. It's "locked into" (for lack of a better term) into a plastic coupling of sorts. Just keep pulling on it, straight out and it'll eventually pop out. Mine took a little muscle but I eventually got it.

Thanks buddy. Just don't want to rip any wires or anything. I'll give it another go in the morning.

are you sure you are prying the ones on the side not upfront. Also are you talking about bumper lights or corners?

Ha no I'm not prying the headlights off, I know better (maybe??) lol. Just the clearance lights on the side of the headlights.

Already done the clear corners below that.

ok clearance lights you will to take off the screw that holds it to the headlight, then pry it with your hand gentely, then look inside make sure you got plenty of light, you will see a rod/connector on the bottom you will need to stick a flathead screw driver inbetween there and turn it. It will make it pop out and then just remove the light with your hand. When you put it back make sure it goes back into the hole, otherwise it will dangle.

clear conners below pry in between the lights on the light that's on the side of the bumper not the one that faces forwards. It will pop out, then look for the screw inside on the other part of the light. Remove the screw and you can remove the other part of the light.

Now am I pulling the entire thing out? Or just enough to get to that connector in the back?

Thanks.

yeah you are pulling the whole thing out you won't be able to just get to the connector. Man I can do it in like less then a minute in and out, so it should be that hard. Just make sure you look for the rod thing because if you break it then you are done.
