question about the GaS Millage Again
Hey I posted a thread about the bad gas milage that I have been experiensing. I was usualy getting 250 miles per tank about 75% city and 25% Hw and now that is even worse right now I got 230 miles per tank. This is horrible..I get no 0505 on the ecu so it seens no problems at all no check engine light or anything like that, when I just got the car which was about 7month ago I had a ecu code for foulty KS ive replaced that improvement only 1mpg or so notihng noticable. Ive replaced the the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, pcv valve, cleaned out the TB, Ive also checked the EGR valve I was stuck but i got it to open and close, I really cant think of anything else that can be wrong with the car but the o2 sensors o ive also changed teh front o2 sensor, I also have new rubber and i keep it on 35-36 psi, and let me recap i have a 98 gxe with 90k miles. any one with anysugestion or where can i go to get thsi problem fixed. thx
how many MPG are u actually getting? do actual gas put into car divided by miles travelled. 250 means nothing u can be fulling it up when the gas light comes on or when u get to 1/4 tank. In NYC we just get horrible gas mileage.. I am doing a tune-up in the next few days and hoping it gets somewhat better... but reality is that short drives in lotsa traffic equals crapie MPG. I get 15mpg on a good week, when I travel to NJ i get like 24-25 mpg if not better.
