Knock Sensor

I just recently pulled 0304 code and an 0607 meaning the knock sensor is bad, and cylinder 2 is misfiring. However i was curious if the knock sensor was causing the second cylinder miss. or if the 2nd cylinder miss was causing the knock sensor to go bad meaning there's more to the problem than just the knock sensor. I run 93 octane from holiday or 92 from shell and the engine has been running fairly rough lately ( obviously). The wierd thing is the CEL *sometimes* comes on, sometimes doesn't.
Thanks.

test your coil, see if it gets good resistance from the cylinder #2, and the do the same with the knocksensor. I think that bad coil could cause knock sensor code to pop out.
