Changing Rotor and Brakes What Tools are Needed

Hey Guys,

This weekend I am going to jump a big hurdle. I would like to change the Brakes & Rotor on my 95 Maxima. The Question that I have is what are the tools I should buy..

Please recommend and store and the part Name.

Thanx

1. tool to take wheels off.
2. Jack
3. socket set that has metric sockets(I think you will need 12mm and 14mm)
4. might need a rubber mallet, but maybe not. This is just to get the rotor off once you have it unscrewed from everything.
5. C-Clamp for compressing the front calipers
6. Caliper compressing tool for the rear calipers
7. syringe or straw or something to get the excess brake fluid out of the resevior so that it does not overflow when you compress the calipers.

I think that should be about it.
Anyone see something that I left out?

I own this set, and highly recommend it

brake tool

People have told me they borrowed the exact kit for free from auto parts stores, as long as they left a deposit.

The cube-like tool that everyone posts a picture of is made by Lisle. they also make a kit like the one I have, but it's almost $60.

I'm sure the pliers work, because quite a few people have used them. But I like this kit, and think it's well worth the $36.

As a replacement for the rubber mallet, a proper-sized bolt to get the rotor off. When I replaced my rotor, it was so rusted there was no force sufficient to get the damn thing free. I was hunting around for a bolt of the right size to thread into the hole, and it just so happened that the bolt from my FSTB was the perfect size. Of course, the rear is a different size. I meant to measure, but never did.

So anyway... anyone know the size for these bolts on the stock rotors?

I would start off with the Haynes manual and then ask some questions.
