How hard is it to paint stock spoiler?

I got no spoiler, i want one, i have no money. So i can get one primered for like 100 bucks from spoiler depot. They charge like another 100 for them to paint it. I cant imagine it would be that difficult to paint it myself, am I an idiot for even trying. I could just save the extra 100 and get them to paint it but it doesnt seem like it would be that hard in my head. What do you guys think?

You could try spraypainting it, but it will probably look like ****. You might want to try checking around and see if any body shops can do it cheaper. If not you should just save up the $100.

Depends on what type of experience you have painting. If its a color that you can get a good match out of the spray can (black, white) I would do it and then just buy professional clear coat.
If you have some experience painting go for it. Otherwise $100 is not a bad deal. The cost of the paint for the wing is probably going to be half the $100. I would just get it done professionally.

They can match any color paint and put it in a can. im going to be paintin my door in about 2 weeks ill let ya know how it comes out if you haven't painted it yet. if u have any experience painting anything i would say go for it. read paintscratch.com it will explain how to prep and everything

I got my spoiler from spoilerdepot about a month ago for 200 painted. If I were you, I would just do that, 200 dollars is a good deal on a painted spoiler, and it will probably look like crap if you try to do it yourself.

Yeah, I say spend some extra money and get it done right. If you mess up, there goes the spoiler, and you will have no use for the paint. $125+ gone.
