i havea 98 maxima gxe and im sick of my hub caps, i am goin to get rims soon in 17 inches or 18 inches,im just wandeing for suggestions on which rims are most durable to pot holes since i live in nyc???

Whichever rim size you get, you'll still suffer from the Potholes. I know. I live in the NYC area, too. My 17s have suffered. 18s would be worse for potholes, too, there's less rubber on the tire to protect them. The thing with these bigger rims is, they make you much more confident in the stability of the car, hence you drive a bit faster, right into that pothole! And its like WHAM! I've had like 4 tires replaced because of the bubbles they developed from slamming those potholes.
