best penatrant to get exhuast(cat) bolts off?

ok i got a highflow "pipe" for place of cat and am wondering the easiest way to remove the cat? use wd-40 on bolts or somthing else?? also all i have is a hydrolic jack and jack stands do i just jack the front up and go at it from the sides? or what?, ive taken out the cat on my accord which was a tough job and took 8 fricken hours with no lube and turned out to have exhaust leak central!! just wondering if i should invest in a torch or somthing of that matter to get the nuts off? also if you cant see i have a 99 but i also have 100,000+miles so theres quite a bit of rust and whatnot thanks, Ryan

If the PB Blaster doesn't do the trick by itself then you can use a torch of some sort (pen torch, big torch) whatever. You can heat the bolt's then spray some PB Blaster on them. Just make sure not to spray the lube on there with the bolts too hot, I wouldn't want you to start a fire. Just use some common sense for that part. With the bolts heated the PB Blaster will have alittle more room to get around in there because the metal has expanded. Another good idea would to make sure to use the correct size wrench or socket. If the bolt or nut is 6 point then use a six point wrench or socket. You do not want to strip the head of the bolt or nut. If you do then you may as well break out the grinder with a thick disc cutting wheel. Good luck, take your time & you shall prevale!!!!

When I installed my y-pipe, the bolts on the cat sheared so I had to drill them out and replace. Everything else broke loose using industrial penetrant (CRC in my case). I soaked the bolts the previous night, then sprayed 'em again a few hours before I started my install.

Cut them off with dremel, as an alternative.

Impact wrench.

Check out harbor Freight (shoddy quality, but cheap). I use a snap-on 402 impact wrench, haven't had a problem removing anything yet.
