Just bought some 17x7 rims, and now am in a quandry about whether I can put 245's on them. I am being offered a great deal on tires, but they are out of the 235's and the guy at the shop does not know if they'll fit with adequate clearance. HELP!!

Nah man. 245's are a lil too wide for that rim. Look for some good 225/45's.

245's on a 7" tire? If that fits on that rim the sidewall will stick out too much. Whats the deal with rim width and Tire size? How do you know which will fit on which rim? Or whats the biggest you can fit on a given rim.. :-/
