Downstream o2 question

I have a 0510, and a 0512 codes.
Both downstream voltage faults, I think.
Does this rob performance at all, or is it a minimal problem?

You have 99...I pulled downstream O2 sensor, knock sensor, and ignition signal circuit code. I replaced coil pack #2 and haven't had a CEL since.

what are you talking about? code 0304 is knock sensor circuit fault.
0510 is Downstream oxygen sensor Maximum voltage fault
0512 is Downstream oxygen sensor high voltage fault.
these are the only two codes i have...
when you say you "pulled", what do you mean, replaced? and why replace your knock sensor and coil pack 2 from a 0510 or a 0512?

My point is that the 99 is quite different from the 95-98's. Coil pack problems can throw other codes. In my case it threw the downstream O2 sensor and KS. I definately don't have a KS problem unless it's just beginning to fail. My car runs strong and has no power loss. Once coil pack #2 was replaced and the ECU reset, the codes went away. Prior to changing the coil pack I would reset the ECU and it would come back in mintutes. It hasn't come back in 5 weeks.

I determined I had a coil pack problem because my SLIP and TCS light would come on and the engine would sputter at a stop.

My point is that the 99 is quite different from the 95-98's. Coil pack problems can throw other codes. In my case it threw the downstream O2 sensor 1st and weeks later the KS code.

I determined I had a coil pack problem because my SLIP and TCS light ( I have tractio control) would come on and the engine would sputter at a stop.

If you get high voltage problems, then most likly ur O2 is shot. Replace it. An easy way to test is check the resistance. If very low resistance or none then ur O2 is bad.

This is off the top of my head, so I could be completely wrong. Do some search on google about testing O2 sensors, should be easy.
