Cutting Sprints??

Hey guys,

A hacksaw is all you will really need. People sometimes cut one coil off each of the rear springs to make the car sit evenly. If you have a big stereo in the trunk it might not even be needed.

Dremel...

First I used an all mighty shawz all with my buddy....it shook the srping way to much and didnt cut anything...then I secured it on a bench and took a Dremel with a cutting bit on it...worked perfectly

Angle grinder works best...

Seems that you don't have too much mechanical expierience... Make sure you know what you are doing..

They're talking about cutting off a dead coil which has no adverse effects.

Make sure you cut whole coils, or else the top part of the spring won't be aligned with the spring seat.

Why not just buy Tien S-techs? They are just as low as sprints without the high rear.

Sorry Drew, but I have to disagree. My friend has s techs with agx's, and the front sits lower in the front compared to sprints. But the rear is a different story, the stechs sit higher than un cut sprints. Now that i have cut 1.5 coils out of my rear sprints, the car sits even and lower than my friends.

What did you use to cut your springs. Do you have a pic of the coils of what to cut off?
