Wrap the Flex section with exhaust wrap will quite it down. For your gas, try resesting your ECU so that it can adjust to the Y-Pipe.

Don't wrap the flex section it will just make the rusting process that much quicker.

I all depends on what part of the conutry your in, Me being form So.Cal we get very little rain, NO Snow, and ALOT of Sun. Him being form Orlando, i would think he wouldn't have any issues with rust either. Beside, if his ypipe is loud wraping it would fix the problem and IF it did rust, replacing the Flex Section is VERY easy.

It's the heat from the exhaust gasses that would lead to rust in this case. Last I heard Florida gets pretty damn humid and the condensation in the exhaust pipe won't help either. Wrapping it doesn't make it that much quieter unless the pipe was messed up before.

You dont need to wrap the whole pipe, just the Flex section, Helped quiet mine down. And any condensation would burn off due to the Y-pipe getting hot.

drop by somewhere you can put it up on a rack and feel the exhaust to see if you can feel air leaks.

gas guzzling ? could you be driving harder now ? are you getting any cel lights ?

i have no cels, the sound isnt really loud, its just annoying. its like a burbaling sound, not a smoth melow tone. i was thinking of wraping it, but i dont want it to start to rust faster than the rate it is already rusting. and when i cut the car off it makes a noise that sounds like its coming from the cat.
