Help Pulling the Transaxle

I have a 1996 manuel and i have everything disconected (strut bolts, hub nut, etc) but i cant slide my passenger side haftshaft off. Also, I unscrewed the 3 bolts on the axle support, where the shaft should pull out from. However, this thing is not coming out.... Do i need a special tool or am i doing something wrong... My cv joint is shot and I cant drive it, which is driving me insane..

Any suggestions?

thanks
Jeff

Do you have the hub part of the axle out already and you cant get it to come out from the tranny?

Use some penetrating oil on the bearing while hitting it with a hammer and punch. Hit it on the ears that the bolts thread into. Rock it back and forth to free the rust and it will come out.

If that doesnt work then you can just unbolt the bracket with the axle still in there, then use some PB Blaster and a hammer.
