How do you disconnect the 3rd Brake Light

I have a 99 GXE and had the stock spoiler added yesterday. I was wondering how i could turn the 3rd brake light off so that only the led on the spoilers worked when braking. Thanks for any help.

take out the bulbs... If you want to remove the entire assembly thats harder and will leave a hole.

The assembly actually just pops out - you can disconnect the harness and get a cover for the hole (to match your interior) - called a CHSML (Center High Mounted Stop Lamp) cap or something like that.

Yea, but it will still leave holes in your rear dashboard or cardboard (what ever you want to call it) I custom install mine so i would not know where the clip is to unplug, but i believe is near the left tail light.

Anyways, good luck

Yes - there will be a hole - but you won't see it from above since it will be covered by the trim piece I mentioned.

Call Courtesy Nissan (courtesyparts.com) or Jerry Rome Nissan (jrnissanparts.com) - I believe those pieces run about 15 bucks or so. You won't be able to get them anyplace but a dealer/nissan parts seller.

Why don't you just re-carpet it? For example, you got a silver car so IF it is black interior then just re-carpet it to black like Araffio did. I was plannin on doin it, but I ain't gettin a spoiler so I need the 3rd Brake light. With that being said, the dark grey is just fine for me now. Frankly, I could give 2 sh*ts, but with a hole in the deck, then I'd start makin moves. Preferrably, positive ones, which IMO would be to re-carpet it depending on your situation though. *shruggs shoulders*
