Hey everyone, I have a 96 SE, 155k miles on it, never had a single problem with it, it sat for about three days last week, and I have noticed it being a lil harder to start every now and again, well now it turns over, but doesn't fire, I got it to start once, and it :clunked clunked: a few times, and died on me, now just turns over but doesn't start. Anyone have any ideas? I haven't had a tune up in a while, and I'm wondering it its just not getting enough spark? Let me know what you guys think. I appreciate your time.

Check for codes. More than likely its crank and camshaft position sensors, especially if it began with hard starting.

Dirty plugs? Dirty Fuel filter? Dirty injectors? Bad starter? All are possibilities.

I was fighting a hard start problem for months that wound up being my starter. The starter isn't an on/off issue ... it can be troublesome for some time before dying all together. Newer manufactured starters have different gearing giving them more torque to turn the engine over - they recognized a design flaw in the originals ...
