yeah they are called red/clears. they are very rare and very expensive too. everybody that owns a 95-96 maxima wants these and nobody can mass produce them. too rich for my blood for some tailights.

Yup, David L tails are rare and highly desired. . . . hence the $300+ bids on the auction.

there are still over 2 days left. I can easily see this going to 350-400 dollars.

its a one piece construction. youd have to mold a entirely new rear tail light assembly to get that red/clear look i think. the 97+ have an amber piece that detaches.

There is a huge thread in the group deals section, supposidly someone is working on them. I had already purchased Tezza's cause I got tired of waiting but I am #7 on the group deal list so if it ever goes through I will happily chuck the Tezza's. The last red/clear I saw on ebay got into the $400 range, Im not that desperate for them so I am not even going to try to bid on this set. $400+ for just the outer assembly.

Edit: Heres the group deal that has been running since March.

I wish , one day I go to ebay, and I find a red clear 95, for $50, I bid on it, and no one in the face of earth will see my bid, or the auction. and eventualy I will get david Ls red clear for $50 and $50 only off ebay.

THIS IS MY WISH LITTLE STAR, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN

It will happen, give it about 20 years or so, im sure you can find one dirt cheap. As long as they all are not busted by then.

Confused

If You Read The Description, The Guy Said He Painted Them, He Basically Made Them Himself....is There Something Special, Other Than The Look, That Makes These More Expensive? If There Isnt Im Gonna Go Out And Get Some Clear Tails And Make A Few Myself And Sell It To You Guys...just Like He Did....unless David L Means Make It Yourself And Sell It For A Lot, Im Not Understanding...

Even the 97-99 are exspensive 150 on custom max I think thats a bit pricey for red clears but i saw a pair on ebay going for 90 bucks but I i guess your paying for the reliability of the product..

careful, someone got ripped off on the ebay r/c tails, but it may be over now though. you can always make r/c's, id do all four tails to have the clear material match.
