Basic foglight question

I had my max for a year now and everything is fine. but now, it seems that my driver side fog light has gotten dimmer. It looks really funny now and I wanna fix it. Do I need to replace the fog light bulb?

how much are you willing to spend? if you don't mind shoveling out a few bucks I'd suggest some PIAA's or other high quality H3 55w bulbs.
http://www.ltbmotorsports.com has some, if you up the wattage you run the risk of melting the wires or cracking the glass lense.

Thanks for the suggestion, but i'm really short on loot. I'll probably sick with orginals.

ok, then just goto autozone and pick up a pair of H3 55w bulbs, should be under $15, $20 at the most

would those match orginal headlights? Cause, I won't like it if brighter that my headlights. I don't wanna spend even more $$ just to match the lights.

what about the extra wattage, will it mess up the foglight housing?

Dude, don't get fogs that cost that much.
Go to autozone or NAPA and get some Sylvania(they are good brand for fogs) OEM style 55w fog bulbs and be done with it.

They will be plenty bright and should match your headlights.

If you get PIAA's, you will be spending probably $20 each bulb, just for fogs. That is ridiculous.

**NOTE: wrap the wires inside the fog housing with electrical tape before you re-assemble. This seems to help them last longer.**

i've got piaa fogs, and if you have the extra money to spend on them then it definitely is not a waste. if you drive around on the hwy with stock/oem fog lights and turn them off/on, you'll notice they barely light up the ground around the car.

these piaa's show a noticeable light difference on signs 1/4 mile down the road. not to mention the high beams on the 9004's, talk about "holy **** thats bright" reaction from your passengers.
