If a 2000 Bose factory deck will fit in a 97' Maxima without mod? Any help is appreciated.

 

I wouldn't think that it's possible. The 5th gen Boses are flush with the dash. It appears that the front bezel of the radio is a dash panel in itself. In your '97, the Bose is just a standard double-din stuck in a cut-out.

 

I've heard that there is an extra plug in harness at the rear of the unit for the 5th gens but I may be wrong.
