wirewrap suspension placement

Where do you put the wirewrap on the spring.. both top i/4 of the spring and bottom 1/4 ..... just top or just bottom... or entire spring . Do you just tape both ends of wirewrap with electrical tape . How long the wirewrap do you need ? I have at least 10 ft right now . Do I need more . Doing my suspension Sat.... TIA

Do the bottom/top 2 coils on each spring. No need for tape because once the spring expands after you release the compression, the wire wrap won't be going anywhere. A word of advice, take it slow and make sure you have everything in the correct order when reassembling. It is also recommended that you replace your strut bearing on the front struts when doing a supsension replacement. Good luck and have fun.

Get the "coiled" wirewrap... I think RadioShack even sells it.. You only need to put it on the closely spaced coils (top)... a little under 2 feet is enough for each, iirc...

I doubt if this mod would help GC cuz coilovers usually clank due to "too short" springs when the tires leave the ground upon extension.
