for exhust just change out your y-pipe and get a 2001 maxima muffler .simple, quiet , but effective. the muffler really gives yo no horsepower gains, but it uses the power you do make alittle bit more effecent.

anyone else for the spark plugs?????

If you can't turn the spark plug with a spark plug socket(meaning the metal part/threads are screwed up) you have a serious problem. You will probably have to take it to a mechanic or risk serious damage. If you can't get it out with the socket you will probably have to use some type of bolt remover to drill it out which is a risky proposition. If it's just the ceramic portion that's broken off(that often happens), just pull it out with something, suck out the debris with a shop vac, and then turn the plug out using the socket. I hope that was helpful, it's hard to say without looking at it.

that number 6 plug is a bastard to get to

No it isn't. Just remove the EVAP component being held in with two little screws and you're set.

why remove anything? i got to all of the plugs with no problem and didn't have to remove anything except for the coil packs. all you need is a long extension and a spark plug socket and it's all gravy.

did the tip of the plug/coil boot stay on the plug, compare to other coil. i'm thinking that may be the problem, if so, put some super glue on the tip so it'll stick only to the boot and push back in the hole onto the tip, let it set up afew & work it out. if this helps ....that'll be $75milliongazillion in cash...if not, never mind.
