CV Joint Question?
Has anybody replaced cv joints on a 1996 max. How did you figure out if you have a locking differential they say there is a tag on the transmission i cant find it so anybody have any tips or suggestions i would appreciate it.

unless it's a canadian max or has an i30 tranny in it, it's non-locking (pretty sure about that). i'd reccomend changing the axel out yourself, you can get one for $55 and it's really pretty simple. i saved myself $160 doing it myself.

it's really actually easy. just a matter of having the right tools. big *** socket (forget the size), breaker bar, wd40, and a little common sense. i did the driver side, i've heard the passenger side is a little harder because it's longer. if i did it again i could get it done in 30 minutes easy.
