This is my budget y pipe. The first part of the video is underneath the car near the flex section and near the end is where the exhaust tip is recorded. Tell me if it sound right, I dont think it does. I have stock exhaust except for the y pipe.

I just got mine installed 3 days ago. It sounds similiar to mine. I think mine sounds abnormal as well. There is a hissing sound when under 3k rpms. It sounds almost the same as when I had the leak in my old stock exhaust.

Yep, sounds just like mine did with stock muffler. I put a 5th gen muffler on there shortly after, because it sounded like a chevrolet Z_whatever.

 

Mine sounds nothing like that!! That sounds like it should be cutting my grass. Under my car, you can hardly hear it. At the muffler (stock), its sounds like a low grumble.

 

theres almost like a rattle goin on under the car. around 2-3 RPMs it sound like metal against metal clanging together. It bothers me, cant i get another from budget tho since they have a year warranty?

OK mine does hiss as well, But it sounds like it is under the car, it is not. It is the exhaust coming out of the rear stock muffler. I gaurantee it. Ok and the metal clanking. Look for any heat shielding that may have been moved or bumped. Get under the car and shake the exhaust. That is the only think i know if but i do know the hiss is normal with the Ypipe.

to test what Keir has sent me, would it work if i got a friend to go under my car and hold the y pipe as hard as he can to see if the rattling stops. Course he would have a cloth or something, but if it is a rattle im guessing someone holding it would stop it???

 

Just jam the cloth in between the Y and that hanger... If it still rattles, try finding other spots that there may be contact

Although if you wanna stuff your mate under the car while you rev it up, be my guest... It's not likely to hurt your Max

You should get ahold of some ramps and have a buddy rev the car while you're under it so you can here exactly where its coming from. I think they're pretty cheap, and safe.

 

My warpspeed doesnt sound like that. Thank god.

Check for some fixes.

 

I am about to call Budget and have them replace it cause the sound kinda annoys me when im driving.

I went under my car and before i even held the pipe, something was coming out of the pipe and i could smell the exhaust. It is a definant leak. I have to wait 2 weeks because everyone at Budget is on vacation. So I am a little bummed. My suspension should HOPEFULLY be shipped today, since its been on backorder for frikin ever. That is something to always look forward to, i guess.

 

You mean like the pipe is split or cracked? Or maybe there is a loose connection somewhere? Maybe un bolt it and check the gaskets?

everyone on budget is on vacation? i was just at their shop two days ago, and nobody mentioned anything about being on vacation. in fact, she was telling me that I should give them a call back today (friday) about a muffler i was thinking of getting. you sure you're calling the right number and they're not picking up the fone becuase they're busy?

 

No, Jody said that everyone in the shop was on vacation, except for her. Ima check the gaskets this weekend.
