Whats the widest tire that i can put on the 97 factory 16 inch 5 spoke wheels?Would 225/50/16 fit with no problem or is that tire too wide?

 

if you mean the width of the rim i think it is 9" on the front and 10" on the back.

 

The width of the 4th gen 16" 5-spokes is 6.5" all 'round. Several people have 225/50/16 (called the +1 size relative to the stock 215/55/16) tires, with no fitment problems. That's the size I plan on going with on my next tire swap.
