new mp3 player head unit..

so my brother bought me one for my birthday, and he said he'll install it, but since my speakers are bose no sound will come out because the connectors are different, he said this:
"each speaker has it's own little amplifier...the output of each channel from the og unit has an output of loke 2volts...the new radio is rated in watts so the new radio wont play the old speakers...."
he said i could either get a bose adapter or i could get new speakers..
i want to get the most i can for my money as far as quality and longevity.
my back speakers are on their way out.. but i can live with it because i wont really be playing it super loud, whats the best idea?
a bose adapter or some new speakers? if its new speakers which give you the most for your money in a maxima?
thanks..

ive never once used an interface when installing a radio in any generation maxima. All you need to do if makesure the amp turn on wire(blue/white) and amp ground(black/white) are hooked up and your good to go. One more thing make sure the loudness is off on your radio.

95-99 Max wire harness #: Metra 70-7550____$17
*note on this harness the solid black(ground) doesn not exist in the car, you will need to use a chasis ground on the back of the radio and do the same with the Amp ground wire.*

Antenna Adapter 95-97/98:# Metra 40-NI10___$11

Regarding the speakers... you Cannot change out your Bose speakers for new ones if you plan on using the Bose Amps again, you must bypass the amps inorder to get the proper signal to the new speakers.
