I am looking at some cv joint replacemnt...what do i need to expect?

nissan said my cv joint are gone, and i need new ones soon. How much money am i looking at. should i go to dealer or go eles where where of course it will be cheaper?

You can get a rebuilt axle with both CV joints at Pepboys/NAPA/wherever for about $80. It'll cost you about 70 to have it installed. So you're looking at about $150 per side.
This is cheaper than having the just the CV boot replaced.

I just did this a week ago. I paid like 120 bucks for the 2 axles brand new from autozone. Its not to hard to do yourself either if youhave some tools. Takes about 2 hours if that with air tools.
