I-30 self dimming mirror...how to?

Anyone know what wire goes to what on the self dimming mirror? I got one from an I-30. I thought it was a great idea. Dealer couldn't help me with this either. I just need to know what wire gets power when and so forth. Any help??

I have some information that may help you.. I put an I-30 auto dimming mirror in my max a little while back. There should be a four wire connector coming from the mirror. The black wire goes to ground, the red/yellow wire goes to the illumination control switch, the red/blue goes to the light switch fuse #18 7.5A in the fuse panel which should be a blue/yellow wire, and the green/blue goes to any 12v switched on/start source. If you dont care about the buttons lighting up when you turn the headlights on then you dont have to worry about the red/yellow or red/blue wires, you can just hook up the ground and green/blue to a 12v source and it should work. Hope this information helps if you have any questions let me know..

There's a how to in our section but it is with a newer maxima. Haven't seen a write up on it, I even asked a while back. I'm glad I finally got an answer from someone who actually sounds like he really knows what he's doing. I went to the dealer, they gave me some suggestions, nothing definite. Seems there's all kinds of these mirrors, different wires and such. I'm going to try Seth's wiring and see.

Seth.....Thanks, I really appreciate the help. I'll let you know how it works out.

Oh, you can find them on car-parts.com for like 35 bucks. Not so bad for a gadget like this. Maybe it's a lot, who knows. I just like the gadgets.
