Just got Flywheel, clutch, and MEVI installed Started too sputter. plz read

just got the findanza flywheel and stage 1 act clutch installed and also the MEVI.

i left the shop and everything was perfectly fine, drove it about 2 hours highway plus i got a chance to work it kinda hard on the way home. Everything was fine.

this morning i started up my car and drove to work, and i noticed at about 3500-5000 RPM i got HARSH sputtering coming from the engine, almost like a jerking noise, at about 5000 RPM i even hear a slight(what seems to be) banging or clapping of something(possibly from the studdering) coming from the left front side of my car. I can take it too my mechanic but he is an hour and 20 mins away from me. i was wondering if anyone had this happen to them before, or if anyone is quaified enough to help me diagnose this problem without having to go back to the mechanic.

any advice would be great.

i was thinking it could have just been a sparkplug/sparkplugwire problem. or one of the vacume hoses is not on all the way or something simple. I definatly dont think its a big issue the car is drivable just not proforming the way i need it too.

thanks

Check the crankshaft position sensor that mounts at the interface between the engine and transmission, at the front of the engine and down low. If the mechanic didn't remove it before pulling the transmission, he most likely damaged it.

just a question but aren't you supposed to give a new clutch or flywheel (about) 500 miles to break in?

i just woke up this morning too drive to work and my car was fine, exactly like it was when i drove it from the shop. Does anyone have any idea whats going on??

should i still bring it too my mechanic that i have an appt with this morning???

im gonna have him check the crankshaft position sensor.

what makes me think this is an odd problem is that it went away. why would a problem just go away what could this possibly be????

Why were you hard on the new clutch/fly? Like mentioned before there is a 500+ mile break in period. If you already messed that up, good luck.

i'd go as far as to say an aftermarket clutch setup should be broken in for 1000 miles to be on the safe side before getting on it
