Spoiler troubleshooting..

So my max is a 99 gle... CA emissions

When i bought the car the dealer installed a spoiler for me... A couple of weeks ago I find a black and red wire, loose with 2 bare wires showing. I test out my brake lights and the spoiler light isn't working. Would anyone have any idea where these 2 bare wires go? Would anyone have any idea if these loose wires would have cause my car to die with my bazooka sub hooked up? I had battery problems earlier this year and everyone said the battery and alternator was fine.

Thanks,
-Josh

Black and red is obviously positive and negative. It could be the power source FOR the spoiler LIGHT. If you mean "bare" -- as in the ACTUAL wire showing...and if they touched each other...the fuse is definitly blown. They may have fuked it up installing it, I'd take it back.

It really shouldnt have ANYTHING to do w/ subs or battery problems. And your emissions type is totally irrelevant.

Well unfortunately i bought the car in CA and i'm in NY so that option is out of the question. (Bringing back to where they installed it) Is anyone familiar with how the back brake lights work and how they would "rigg" up this spoiler? Spoiler fuse blown!?! ? spoiler has a fuse?

Thanks,
Josh

Splice them into the 3rd brake light on the rear deck.. Then unplug and or remove the 3rd light that sits on the deck.. You dont want 4 different brake lights to turn on at the same time do ya??!?
