Forget about doing it your self, I took it to Jeff at Maximum Tuning. He had a hard time because the 99 Maxima they changed the location of the knock sensor, and it is very hard to get to it. Just have some shop that knows what they are doing, do it for you. If they tell you, they have to take the Manifold off to do it, don't let them do it for you.

That would be nice Anyways I was able to get it off but I just cant get the screw to catch and screw back in. Is there like a special tool for this? Can anyone who has done this on a 99 cali spec max give me some pointers on this. I am going to try again in the morning hopefully I can get it fixed in time for work. I really dont want to drive my moms camry Thanks in advance!

If they told me they had to take the manifold off, I'd pay them nearly anything for the job. FSM says that's the correct way to do it. If the mechanic says you hafta take the manifold off, either he knows maximas really well, or he's done it before.
