It's so strange... the only pads I've been able to put on my Max are the OEM Nissan pads... the shop tried like 5 different sets over the course of a month and they all squeaked really bad until I put OEM pads on there...

But that's just my experience. Maybe my car is just strange

get oem! they are the best! and btw, for 98maximer, they squeek because the rotors have to shape up with the brakes. it will squeek for about 2 weeks.

i just installed my brembo rotors and raybestos quitestop pads. the pads are very good. no squeaking sound and a nice grip. low on dust too. raybestos are the best

I got remsa gold pads. They are excellent pads, no noise and great braking power (for street driving that is)

I have Brembo cross-drilled/slotted rotors and Axxis metal master pads. My car has braking issues, but I think its just because the pads suck. I bought some Porterfield R4S pads, but haven't put them on yet. Porterfields are some of the best pads that money can buy... I have no idea why I didn't just buy them in the first place.

I just installed the whole brembo/metal master/SS line GD and my brakes are almost silent, onyl noise I can hear is a humm when slamming on it from 100. I think the "anti-squeeki" gell is mostly responsable. Its used on the contact surfaces and seems to work.

Several months ago, I got a very good price on OEM pads from Pinnacle Nissan in Arizona. It was something in the neighborhood of $40-45, plus $5 for shipping.
