brake rotors

I want to buy (actually HAVE to buy) some new brake rotors, I looked at ebay and there are some decent priced rotors there, my question is:
Should I buy slotted, cross-drilled, or dimpled, or a combination there of?
I am leaning towards dimpled or cross drilled because I have heard slotted will eat brake pads faster (due to shaving off a layer of pad everytime brakes are applied) and the fact tht Hi-end car manufacturers use cross drilled (porsche, MBenze, etc)
What is the ideas here?

I have been running the Stillen Cross Drilled rotos and love-em. They are the best upgrade I did to my car along with the stainless steel brake lines of course.
