Shift **** won't come off?

Apparently all I need to do is twist the shift **** counter clockise and it will come off. However, my shift **** isn't really coming off even with a lot of force. Is there something else I need to do?

I want my 20th aniversary **** on there bad.

Thanks,
Dan

MOMO to the max.. shifter + boot (boot threads onto shifter base)

Twist like there is no tomorrow. Eventually it will come off. Use a hairdryer to try to heat up the area to loosen the glue.

Strap Wrench. You need leverage.

I believe mine is the black leather/chrome F16 ****.

It looks a bit oblong at first glance, but I've got it slightly offset to the left and it fits in my hand like a charm with my fingers off to the right side of the tip. (but I have really big hands.. so i dunno about anyone else.)

Vice grips and a towel (folded over a few times) should leave no damage as well. Strap wrench is obviously the best way tho ...

Or just hit the weights son!
