Y Pipe Install....HELP!
hey guys...
i'm trying to install my warpspeed Y and i'm running into some problems.
I have a 99 Cali spec for reference.
I got all bolts loosen except for the 2 connecting to the cat. Most instructions i've read say that they are 12mm bolts, however, 12 doesnt exactly fit and the bolts actually appear to be welded on. There is a wire connected to the bolt with an O-ring that almost seems welded on. Its definitely more than just a little rusty.
Anyone run into this or have any suggestions??
Any help ASAP would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks all
Dan

PB Blasterrrrrr...
The bolts are 14mm for sure. I didn't have very much trouble with my bolts on my 95 (I just put on my WSP y-pipe two weeks ago, and I have very little car experience)... all I can say is blast that sucker with penetrating lubricant, let it sit if necessary, grab a longer wrench and don't be afraid to smack the handle to some extent. I've heard that bolts might be easier to take off when the car's warm, because the parts expand, but I have no idea about that, and don't quote me.
Good luck!
