Last night, i went to leave my GF's house, and when i started my car, the security light stayed on, like solid red. I turned the car off, then restarted it, and it stayed on. I went over to a friend's house, and about an hour later, when i went to leave, i started the car again, and it didn't turn on. It's been fine ever since.

Now, considering that if the E-brake light blinks its linked to the brake fluid, and if the O/D light blinks, you may have a problem with your Auto tranny, does the security light staying solid have to do with the theft deterrance? Because i have no alarm or keyless entry, just the immobilizer system.

Or is it just another one of the maxima's electronic gremlins?

 

you have an alarm system stock. mine did the same thing and know it doen't even work anymore. it stayed solid for a while and then went away. now i can only lock and unlock my max.

 

What do you mean you can only lock and unlock your max? With the keyless entry, or from the door itself? I don't get it.
