spark plug questions, noob question

ive been reading up on old spark plug threads. i dont really know jack about plugs.

what is 1,2,3 step colder mean? what is its purpose? pros and cons. i dont have to many mods, should i go for any colder plugs or just stay with regular NGK v-coppers?

i need to change them again. found NGK iridium plugs on ebay for cheap. shuold i get them or just stick with the NGK v-power coppers?

Get the copper, stock heat range. Colder is when you are FI or N2O

Copers are not stock heat range, they're a step colder but work just fine. They're what the guys with spray and boost use. They're NGK part # 6953. Most of the time they're too lazy to look up the BKR or wahtever number at the auto parts store. if not just order NGK copper Plugs for a 97 Altima, they use the 6953's stock.

1 step colder just means that, they're a colder burning plug. They wont harm our engine, I have been running coppers for a while and they work just fine.

+1 to that.
I use coppers (NGK, of course) and they are great and cheap!

where's a good place to get a set of spark plugs? whether it be the NGK copper ones or the stock platinum ones. My max is at 77k and these plugs have been running strong (good 'ol platinum).. but maybe it's time for a replacement. yea?

Well I just got a set of 6 Bosch platinum tipped plugs from NAPA for like $12.00 just this weekend, not too shabby...

And yeah, just to be safe, I'd replace them
